How do I receive Bitcoin and other crypto in Exodus?

Receive more than 100+ different crypto assets on Exodus. Just like traditional bank transfers, receiving blockchain assets works like account numbers. Once you click the receive button Exodus shows your crypto address. Similar to a bank account number, you give this crypto receive address to another person from whom you wish to receive a payment.

It is easy to receive a coin or a token in your Exodus wallet. You will need to enable it in settings first. Exodus supports over 100 assets, so use the search tool to find your favorite asset quickly.

How do I receive crypto on Desktop?

These instructions work for any blockchain asset that Exodus supports. In this example, we will receive Bitcoin.

Before you begin: please ensure that the asset you're sending to your Exodus wallet is a supported asset and that you use the correct network to send it through. Sending an unsupported asset or using an unsupported network will result in not being able to see the asset in your Exodus wallet and may require you to go through a recovery process.

a) Click the wallet icon, b) navigate to your Bitcoin wallet, and c) click the Receive button.

You can click the copy button to copy the address. The button is located on the right-hand side of the address field.

An additional option is to scan your Bitcoin address QR code. There are also two action buttons in this window to email your Bitcoin address and view your Bitcoin address on the blockchain.

a) Tap on the portfolio icon at the bottom of your Exodus wallet and then b) tap on your Bitcoin wallet.

Now tap on the receive button that is on the right-hand side of your Bitcoin wallet.

Here you will see your address in plain text and as a QR code. You can use this address to receive funds from another wallet or exchange, or even from a generous friend who feels like sharing!


How do I receive crypto on Browser Extension?

Please note: Currently, you can only receive tokens on the Solana network in the Exodus Browser Extension.

Open your browser extension and a) click on the wallet icon. Next, b) click on Receive.

From the list of tokens, click on the asset that you want to receive.

Here you will see your address in plain text and as a QR code. You can use this address to receive Solana (SOL) or SPL tokens from another wallet or an exchange.
