How do I move my assets out and leave Exodus?

This is a quick tutorial to help you move all your assets out of your Exodus wallet if you decide Exodus wallet is not for you.

Warning: If you delete your wallet, all your crypto and transaction history will be permanently deleted from your device. You will only be able to recover your funds with your 12-word secret recovery phrase. If you delete your wallet and your funds, you do so at your own risk.

Leave Exodus Web3 Wallet

First you will need to make sure you do not lose any crypto you currently have inside of your Exodus wallet. To make sure that no funds are lost, select one of these options:
  • Option A: Back up your 12-word secret recovery phrase on a piece of paper by following this guide. Then find the other wallet of your choice you want to start using and import your 12-word phrase into the new wallet.
  • Option B: Send out all of your assets one by one to your destination of choice by following this guide.

Once you have double-checked that you have either backed up your 12-word phrase or sent out all of your crypto, follow only Step 2 in this guide to delete your Exodus Web3 Wallet.

Leave Exodus Desktop

  • Option A: Backup your 12-word secret recovery phrase by writing it down on a piece of paper by following this guide. Then find the other wallet of your choice you want to start using and import your 12-word phrase into the new wallet.
  • Option B: Send out all of your assets one by one to your new wallet by following this guide. Then receive them into the other wallet of your choice.
