What are Bitcoin ordinal NFTs?

An ordinal NFT on Bitcoin is a specific satoshi (sat, the smallest unit of BTC) where data such as an image, video, or text has been attached, and an ID has been assigned. This makes that specific sat unique, or non-fungible, which makes it a non-fungible token, or NFT.

Does Exodus support Bitcoin ordinal NFTs?

Exodus does not support Bitcoin ordinal NFTs. If you send an ordinal NFT to Exodus, then you will not be able to view or manage it.

If you sent Bitcoin ordinal NFTs to Exodus, you must recover them to avoid accidentally spending your Bitcoin ordinal NFTs.

Exodus does not support the ability to select which Bitcoin sats you spend when you make a transaction. Because of that, if you hold ordinal NFTs at your Exodus address and then initiate a BTC transaction, you run the risk of spending sats that include your ordinal NFTs.

You can follow the guides below to learn how to manage unsupported ordinal NFTs if you have sent an ordinal NFT to your Exodus Bitcoin Taproot address.
