What is Electrum SV?

Electrum SV is a third-party platform that is not affiliated with Exodus. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of its products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

Electrum SV is a Bitcoin SV (BSV) wallet where you can send, receive, and view your Bitcoin SV balance and transaction history.

Electrum SV is available on Desktop for Windows and macOS. You can download Electrum SV from their website:


How do I set up Electrum SV?

Electrum SV is only available on desktop. You will need your Exodus Bitcoin SV private key to import your Exodus Bitcoin SV wallet into Electrum SV.

Viewing your Exodus private keys is only available on Exodus Desktop. If you are using Exodus Mobile, you need to sync to Exodus Desktop so you can view your Bitcoin SV private key: How do I sync Exodus Mobile to Exodus Desktop?

You can then continue with the guide below to set up Electrum SV on a trusted desktop device.

  1. First, you will need to download and install Electrum SV. You can download the Electrum SV wallet from Electrum SV's website.

    On the website, click Releases to download Electrum SV.

  2. Scroll down and find the latest release of Electrum SV. You will need to select the correct download file depending on what operating system you use.

    MacOS: a) Download the .DMG file.
    Windows: b) Download the .EXE file.

  3. When Electrum SV is installed, open Electrum SV and click Continue.

  4. Click Create New Wallet.

  5. a) Give your wallet a name, then b) click Save.

  6. a) Create a password for your Electrum SV wallet, and b) click Ok.

  7. In the top-left, click Add Account.

  8. a) Select Import from text, then b) click Continue.

  9. a) Paste in your Exodus Bitcoin SV private key, then b) click Done.

    Please be very careful with your private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share your private keys with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%.   10. Enter your password and click OK.

  11. Electrum SV will need some time to sync with the network. When it is done, you can see your Bitcoin SV transaction history and balance, as well as send and receive Bitcoin SV.

  12. To send a transaction from Electrum SV:

    a) Click Send on the menu at the top, b) enter the destination address, c) enter the amount, then d) click Send.
