How do I add a custom token?

Which custom tokens does Exodus support?

In Exodus Desktop, Exodus Mobile, and Exodus Browser Extension, you can add custom Solana (SPL) and Ethereum (ERC20) tokens to your wallet.


How do I add custom tokens to my wallet?

Desktop

In your desktop wallet, you can add custom tokens on either the Solana network or the Ethereum network. Here's how you can add a custom token to your desktop wallet.

If you add custom tokens to Desktop they will not automatically be added to wallets on any other devices. You will have to manually add custom tokens to every wallet.

To add a custom token, you will first need to find and copy the token address. For more information, see the following guides:

When you have the token address, open Exodus Desktop and click on the Settings icon.

a) Click on the Assets tab at the top of your wallet. On the right-hand side of your wallet, b) click on the More menu, then c) click on  Add Custom Token.

a) Click on the dropdown arrow to select the network, then b) click Search.

a) Paste in the token contract address you copied from step 1, then b) click Search.

To add the custom token to your wallet, click Add Token.

You will now be able to send and receive the custom token you added. However, you can't exchange these tokens in the in-app exchange.

If you restore your desktop wallet using your secret 12-word recovery phrase, sync your desktop wallet to another device, or refresh your mobile wallet, you will need to add your custom tokens again.


Mobile

In your mobile wallet, you can add custom tokens on either the Solana network or the Ethereum network. Here's how you can add a custom token.

If you add custom tokens to Mobile they will not automatically be added to wallets on any other devices. You will have to manually add custom tokens to every wallet.

When you have the token address, open Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Dashboard icon, then b) tap Assets.

a) Tap on the Advanced Options icon in the top right corner, then b) tap on  Add Custom Token.

a) Tap on the dropdown arrow to select the network of the token you want to add, then b) tap Search.

a) Paste in the token contract address you copied from step 1, then b) tap on the token.

To add the custom token to your wallet, tap Add Token.

In the Exodus Browser Extension, you can add custom tokens on either the Solana network or the Ethereum network. Here's how you can add a custom token to your browser extension wallet.

If you add custom tokens to Browser Extension, they will not automatically be added to wallets on any other devices. You will have to add custom tokens to every wallet manually.

When you have the token address, open the browser extension and a) click the Menu icon, then b) click Assets.

To add a custom token, click Add Custom Token.

Click on the dropdown arrow to select the network of the token you want to add.

You can add a token by either a) entering the token contract address or b) using the search feature to search for the token you want to add.

When you have entered the token details, click Continue.

Click Add token.

Finally, click Continue. The token will be added to your wallet. You will now be able to send and receive the custom token from your browser extension wallet.

If you restore your wallet using your secret 12-word recovery phrase, sync your wallet to another device, or refresh your wallet, you will need to add your custom tokens again.


How do I find a token contract address?

To add a custom token to Exodus, you will need the token or contract address. Here's how to find it!

How do I find a token address for Solana (SPL) tokens?

To find the token contract address of a Solana token, first go to the SolScan token list. Search for the asset you want to add. Click on the token to open the token profile summary.

Copy the Token address of the custom token you want to add to your wallet.

How do I find a token address for Ethereum (ERC20) tokens?

To find the contract address of an Ethereum token, first go to the Etherscan token list. Search for the asset you want to add. You can a) find the token from the list or b) use the search tool. Click on the token to open the token profile summary.

In the Profile Summary of the custom token you want to add to your wallet, copy the address in the Contract field.
