Everything you need to know to move your funds from Bittrex to your Exodus self-custody wallet.

As of December 4, 2023, all trading activity on Bittrex Global will be disabled. After that date, customers will only be able to withdraw assets.

How do I move my funds from Bittrex to Exodus?

You can move your funds from Bittrex by sending your supported assets to Exodus.

If you don't have Exodus yet, you can download Exodus for Desktop, Mobile and Web3 Wallet from our website: Download Exodus.

Follow these steps to withdraw your funds from Bittrex.

Bittrex only supports Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals to Legacy addresses (which start with "1"). To find your Legacy address, skip to: How do I find my Bitcoin Legacy address in Exodus?


Which assets are supported in Exodus?

Exodus supports more than 300 different cryptocurrencies.

You also have the option to add custom tokens on several networks, including Ethereum. This means that any Ethereum-based (ERC20) token can be manually added to your wallet.

What can I do if an asset I hold in Bittrex is not supported in Exodus?

If Exodus doesn't support an asset you hold in Bittrex, and you can't add it as a custom token, you have a few options.

You can swap it in Bittrex for an asset that is supported by Exodus, such as Bitcoin, or send it to a wallet that does support your asset.


How do I withdraw my funds from Bittrex?

Mobile

Here's how you can withdraw your funds from your Bittrex mobile app.

Bittrex is a third-party platform that is not affiliated with Exodus. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of its products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

  1. Log in to your Bittrex account and tap Wallets.

  2. Tap Withdraw.

  3. Tap Cryptocurrency.

  4. Select a cryptocurrency to send to Exodus.

  5. If you're sending BTC, you will see a warning that SegWit addresses are not supported. For help finding your Legacy Bitcoin address (starts with "1"), skip to: How do I find my Bitcoin Legacy address? To continue, tap I understand.

  6. a) Paste your address and b) enter the amount that you want to withdraw. Then c) tap Next.

  7. a) Review your transaction details, b) enter your Bittrex 2FA code, then c) tap Submit.

  8. And that's it! Your transaction will be processed by Bittrex, and you'll receive your funds in Exodus as soon as your withdrawal is confirmed.


Desktop

Here's how you can withdraw your funds from Bittrex on desktop.

Bittrex is a third-party platform that is not affiliated with Exodus. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of its products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

  1. Log in to your Bittrex account and click Holdings.

  2. In your Holdings tab, next to the asset, click Withdraw.

  3. a) Enter your Exodus address and b) the amount you want to withdraw, then c) click Withdraw [asset].

  4. a) Review your transaction details, b) enter your Bittrex 2FA code, then c) click Withdraw [asset].

  5. You'll see a confirmation that your withdrawal was submitted in the bottom-left corner of your wallet.

  6. Review the status of your withdrawal in the Withdrawals tab.


How do I find my asset's address in Exodus?

Mobile

  1. In Exodus Mobile, a) tap on the Wallet icon, then b) tap on the asset you'd like to receive. If an asset is enabled on multiple networks, c) a menu will expand, and you can select the network.

  2. Tap the Receive icon on the right.

  3. Tap the address to copy it. This is the address to paste into Bittrex.


Desktop

  1. In Exodus Desktop, a) click the Wallet icon and b) select the asset you want to receive.

  2. If the asset is supported on multiple networks, a) click the dropdown menu and b) select the correct network.

  3. After selecting the asset and network, click Receive.

  4. Click the copy icon to the right of the address field to copy the address. This is the address to paste into Bittrex.


Web3 Wallet

Only use Exodus Mobile or Exodus Desktop to receive Bitcoin.

Bittrex only supports sending to a Legacy address, and Exodus Web3 Wallet does not support receiving Bitcoin on a Legacy address.

  1. In Web3 Wallet, a) click on the Wallet icon. Next, b) click on Receive.

  2. Click on the asset you want to receive.

  3. Click Copy. This is the address to paste into Bittrex.


How do I find my Bitcoin Legacy address in Exodus?

When you open your Bitcoin wallet in Exodus and click on Receive, you will be shown your SegWit address by default. Bittrex does not support sending BTC to this address.

Bittrex only supports sending to a Legacy address (starts with 1). Follow the instructions below to enable your Legacy address on Mobile and Desktop.

Mobile

  1. In your Bitcoin wallet, tap on the Settings icon in the top right corner.

  2. Toggle on Legacy Address, then tap the back arrow.

  3. Tap on the Receive icon.

  4. Tap the arrows to the left and right of the QR code to see all your addresses. Your Legacy address starts with 1.


Desktop

  1. In your Bitcoin wallet, a) click the More menu in the top right corner, then b) click Advanced Options.

  2. Toggle on Legacy Address.

  3. Click Receive.

  4. Click the arrows to the left and right of the QR code to see all your addresses. Your Legacy address starts with 1.
