How do I send ALGO from MyAlgo to Exodus?

MyAlgo recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they were shutting down and would no longer be operational.

From the announcement: "All users must migrate accounts & assets as soon as possible to alternative wallets like Pera Wallet, Ledger, Defly, or Exodus. You have until January 30th, 2024, to complete the migration."

Here's how to send ALGO from your MyAlgo wallet to your Exodus self-custody wallet. If you need to, you can download Exodus here: Download Exodus.

To send ALGO from MyAlgo to Exodus:

Sign into your MyAlgo account.
Click Send.
Enter your Exodus Algorand address in the To: field. Find your address by following the steps below:
Enter the amount of ALGO you want to transfer, and click Send.

How do I use my MyAlgo mnemonic phrase to transfer ALGO to Exodus Desktop?

For this guide, you will need both the 25 word mnemonic phrase you wrote down when creating your MyAlgo account as well as the desktop version of Exodus. If you don't already have Exodus Desktop, you can download Exodus here.

In Exodus Desktop, a) click on the Wallet icon, then b) search for or click on your Algorand wallet.
Next, click the menu in the upper right-hand corner, then click Move Funds.
Type (leaving one space between words) or paste the 25 word mnemonic phrase from MyAlgo, then click Move Funds
Finally, click Move.

Exodus will transfer your ALGO from MyAlgo into your Exodus wallet.

How do I find my asset's address in Exodus?

Mobile

In Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Wallet icon, then b) search for or select your Algorand wallet.
Tap the Receive icon on the right.
Tap on your Algorand address to copy it. Paste this address into MyAlgo.

Desktop

In Exodus Desktop, a) click the Wallet icon, b) search for or select your Algorand wallet, and c) click Receive.
Click the copy icon to the right of the address field to copy the address. Paste this address into MyAlgo.
